6-month paid Perioperative Nursing Program

Perioperative nurses are registered nurses who are trained to provide care to patients before, during, and after surgery. Our six-month Perioperative 101 Program is taught at the Huntsville Hospital’s downtown campus; focusing on the role of the circulator in the OR. The circulator’s role in the surgical team is to manage the operating room environment, which includes being the patient’s advocate, collaborating and communicating with the surgical team, and ensuring a safe environment of care for the patient.
